A rectangular concrete pier is reinforced vertically with twenty-six number ten bars featuring ninety-degree hooks anchored into the footing. Transverse confinement is provided by number four ties spaced at three inches on center at the top and six inches on center for the balance of the pier height. The concrete pier dimensions span three feet three inches in both coordinate directions from the centerline reference axes, resulting in an overall cross-section width of six feet six inches and depth of three feet six inches. The top of the pier elevation is referenced to the structural plans.
