An anchor bolt connection within a concrete masonry unit wall assembly utilizes a one-half-inch diameter ASTM A307 Grade A headed anchor bolt penetrating the masonry core, with one inch of grout placed at the contractor's option. Two number five reinforcing bars at four feet zero inches in length are centered about each anchor rod if the bolt is not located at a bond beam.
