An angle brace formed from L3x3x1/4 structural steel spans between a channel section at the existing parapet and an L6x6x1-foot angle secured to the existing wood decking with two 3/4-inch by 5-inch embed lag screws. The channel section C6x8.2 is anchored to the parapet with two 3/4-inch anchors at 8 inches on center and welded with a 5/16-inch fillet weld on three sides typically. An erection bolt provides temporary alignment at the connection points along the brace. New plywood sheathing is installed over the existing wood decking and aligned with posts referenced on plan.
