A structural steel beam supports a metal deck spanning in either direction with a two-inch minimum bearing. Welded half-inch diameter by two-foot-long deformed bar anchors are spaced at eighteen inches on center alongside a continuous quarter-inch bent plate. Number five continuous reinforcing bars run at the deck perpendicular to the beam and parallel to the beam with one-inch clearance. A three-sixteenths inch fillet weld with four-inch welds and eight-inch spacing is typical at the connection. The parapet height is per architectural drawings, featuring a bidder-designed configuration.
