A chevron-braced frame incorporates buckling restrained braces connected to steel columns and beams. Hatched areas designate protected zones where miscellaneous attachments such as plumbing, HVAC, or electrical elements are strictly prohibited. The protected zone encompasses the steel core of the brace along with the elements connecting the steel core to the supporting beams and columns. Centerline dimensions, work points, and top-of-steel elevations are referenced per plan and elevation drawings.
