A trellis frame consisting of L4x3x3/8 or L4x4x3/8 angles at the top and bottom connects to a hollow structural section HSS5x5 support column. A quarter-inch steel plate is welded to the HSS member. Fillet welds of one-quarter inch size are applied on the near side and far side, and three sides as indicated. An eighth-inch seal weld is provided at specific joints.
