A concrete slab over a profiled steel deck sits directly atop a wide-flange structural steel beam. Headed stud anchors are welded through the steel deck into the top flange of the beam to provide composite action. A double-angle shear connection bolts the web of the framing beam to the supporting member. The steel deck spans continuously across the top flange of the beam.
