An HSS brace connects to adjacent framing members using an L5x3x3/8 angle sized to match the smaller brace width, aligned at the top of the braces with equal spacing. A single 3/4-inch diameter A325N through bolt is installed at 2 1/2 inches from the face of the brace. Fillet welds of 1/4-inch size secure the connection assembly. All steel components are galvanized.
