An eight inch thick concrete slab carries a maximum weight of four thousand pounds with reinforcing bars spaced at twelve inches on center each way. The concrete has a compressive strength of three thousand pounds per square inch and steel yield strength of sixty kilopounds per square inch. The pad features a thickened perimeter edge measuring twelve inches deep with a four inch top step above the finish grade. Clear cover is maintained at three inches.
