An HSS girt connects to an HSS column using a 3/8-inch bent plate welded to match the girt depth. Two through-bolts secure the girt to the bent plate on each girt. Stiffener plates are aligned inside the column to match the girt depth at similar locations. The column is rotated at similar conditions.
