A W18 drag beam connects to a W12 column with a complete-joint-penetration weld on both flanges and one-half inch full-depth stiffener plates on each side at the top and bottom. An HSS6x6 slotted structural steel tube intersects the assembly with five-sixteenth-inch welds on three sides. A W21 beam frames into the connection with a three-eighths-inch plate and five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. Two one-half-inch diameter by four-foot-long deformed bar anchors at five inches on center are centered in the concrete topping.
