An HSS6x5x1/2 structural steel beam spans between columns at the top of the cladding. The beam connects to a 1/2-inch by 10-inch square embed plate anchored into the precast concrete column by four 3/4-inch diameter by 6-inch welded studs. A 3/16-inch fillet weld secures the assembly at each end of the beam. The precast column and cladding attachment are provided by others.
