An exterior steel stair stringer formed by a C15 channel supports precast concrete stair treads and ties into a reinforced concrete grade beam at the base. The stringer is welded with a five-sixteenths inch complete joint penetration weld ground smooth and anchors to an eighteen by eighteen by three-quarters inch base plate. Four three-quarters inch diameter anchor bolts secure the base plate over one and one-half inches of non-shrink grout set atop the grade beam. Exterior grade and top of foundation elevations are sized per plan.
