Cold-formed steel studs are positioned on both sides of a hollow structural section or pipe column and attached using one-quarter-inch-diameter self-drilling screws spaced at six inches on center. Two screws are located within three inches of the ends of the studs or structural member. The stud sizes are determined per the elevations.
