A steel beam frames into a structural steel girder using a bolted connection with a continuous 1/4-inch bent plate above. A web stiffener is attached to the girder web, supplemented by an L2x2x3/16 angle required when dimension "a" exceeds 10 inches. Welds are specified as 3/16-inch fillets spaced at 3 to 12 inches.
