A three-quarter inch thick ASTM A572 Grade 50 gusset plate is welded with a complete joint penetration weld to a two-inch by fourteen-inch base plate, which bears on top of a concrete pedestal. A five-sixteenth inch fillet weld secures a half-inch thick by six-inch diameter reinforcing plate on each side of the pin hole in the gusset. Two one-inch diameter galvanized anchor bolts at six inches center-to-center typical secure the base assembly, anchored via one-and-a-half-inch by ten-inch by six-inch plates. A two-inch by three-and-a-quarter-inch by twelve-inch plate projects downward from the base plate center with a three-eighths inch fillet weld.
