An HSS6x4 hanger is suspended from a wide flange beam sized per plan using a half-inch by 7-inch by one-foot two-inch connection cap plate. The cap plate is secured to the wide flange beam with four 5/8-inch diameter A325-N bolts installed at the usual beam gauge. The lower end of the HSS hanger connects to an HSS6x6 structural member sized per plan with 3/16-inch fillet welds on both sides. A field weld symbol with an all-around designation indicates continuous welding of the hanger to the cap plate.
