A continuous bottom track of size 600T125-54 nests within a deflection track or deep leg inside track to accommodate vertical movement. Two number 10-16 screws at sixteen inches on center fasten the tracks together along the flanges. One number 10-16 screw connects each flange of the metal stud or jamb above to the track while maintaining a maximum three-quarter-inch gap. A half-inch vertical clearance allows for structural deflection without transferring loads to the partition.
