A CoreBrace buckling-restrained brace connects to a gusset plate welded to a structural steel column and base plate assembly embedded at the slab on grade and concrete foundation. The gusset plate incorporates specified weld sizes and a concrete block out detail around the base. Stiffener plates are welded near the column web and flanges as required, with optional web doubler plates and PJP welds specified per design requirements. Base plate and anchor bolt information is referenced to another sheet.
