A metal deck bears on a steel beam with a two-inch minimum bearing length, secured by a shear connection with bolts and a welded connection. An angle member is welded to the steel beam with three-sixteenths fillet welds at twelve-inch spacing. Bidder-designed exterior framing and cladding attach to the assembly, with the parapet height determined per architectural drawings.
