A quarter-inch-by-five-inch-by-five-inch weld plate is attached to the column using three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. A five-eighths-inch-diameter erection bolt is provided as an option that may remain in place after welding. Additional connection detailing is indicated with a quarter-inch weld symbol.
