This assembly provides transverse and longitudinal seismic bracing for electrical conduit using a pipe clamp secured to the conduit. A one-half inch diameter threaded hanger rod supports the assembly from the structure above, with instructions to stiffen the hanger rod per project details. Unistrut P1000 channel braces are attached to the pipe clamp assembly using Unistrut 1843W hinges, which are typical for these connections. The channel braces are installed at a maximum angle of forty-five degrees relative to the horizontal plane. Refer to detail 5/S-63000 for the specific requirements regarding the rod connection to the structure above.
