A metal deck direction change occurs over a supporting beam with a concrete slab poured on top. A standard end closure is positioned at the centerline beam, stopping one and one-half inches short of the centerline at composite beams with studs on top of the flange in each flute. Reinforcing steel is placed where specified, maintaining a two-inch minimum bearing requirement.
