A structural cold-formed steel roof-to-wall connection consists of an exterior steel stud supporting a rim track at the roof level. An MTS12 strap is placed below the metal deck at forty-eight inches on center and secured with four number ten screws on each leg. A T150-54 track member ties into the assembly with two number ten screws. The metal deck bears on the framing per plan with designated edge attachments and screws at blocking. A continuous four-inch strap matching the top track thickness provides panel edge attachment per the shear wall schedule where required. An L1 1/2 by 1 1/2 by 54-mil angle, five inches long, connects blocking to the joist with three number ten screws on each leg, positioned up to two feet maximum from the wall. Sheathing is applied per the shear wall schedule where applicable.
