A structural steel column bears on a base plate secured by four anchor rods detailed per the column schedule. The base plate rests on a one-inch layer of grout above the top of the footing, with shims providing the elevation adjustment. Each anchor rod features double nuts with washers for secure fastening. The column profile and base plate dimensions are coordinated per plan and schedule.
