A typical diagonal brace connection frames into a truss bottom chord member. Stiffener plates matching the brace flange thickness are welded inside the chord on each side with three-eighths inch fillet welds typical. Complete joint penetration welds are specified at the diagonal member connections to the chord. The assembly aligns with a grid work point and references a typical welded truss chord splice detail.
