A six-inch wood beam connects to a precast concrete wall panel using a five-eighth-inch thick bent plate twelve inches high with four three-quarter-inch diameter wedge studs at the long leg and two number five by two-foot-six-inch long dowels with full penetration welds. The beam is also connected via a one-quarter-inch thick U-shape plate secured with four one-quarter-inch by three-and-one-half-inch Simpson SDS 25312 screws in predrilled holes. Fillet welds of one-quarter-inch size are applied to three sides of the U-shape plate connection to the embedded steel.
