A concrete slab over metal deck bears on a wide-flange beam, with concrete and reinforcement sized per plan. Three-quarter-inch diameter by four-inch headed studs are spaced at twenty-four inches on center along the top flange. A continuous one-half-inch plate of variable size connects to the beam flange with a one-quarter-inch fillet weld on three sides. Full-depth stiffener plates measuring three-eighths-inch thick are spaced at forty-eight inches on center, welded with one-quarter-inch welds. Additional stiffener plates measuring three-eighths-inch thick are provided as shown at forty-eight inches on center maximum.
