This connection detail features a buckling restrained brace (BRB) assembly attached to a steel beam. The beam web is reinforced with three-eighths-inch full-depth stiffener plates on each side of the web at the work point, with additional stiffening provided as required by the brace supplier. The gusset plate and its attachment to the beam are provided by the buckling restrained brace supplier. The buckling restrained brace itself is also provided by the supplier.
