A wide-flange or heavy timber column connects to a horizontal chord member via a three-quarter-inch thick steel plate. The connection utilizes twelve one-and-one-quarter-inch diameter Group B slip-critical bolts with Class B faying surfaces. Long slotted holes are provided in the plate while standard holes are used in the wide-flange member. The layout features bolt spacings of five inches on center with edge and end distances clearly dimensioned.
