A diagonal angle brace consisting of an L3x3x1/4 member connects to the collector wide flange beam and supporting wide flange beam using seven-eighths inch high-strength bolts and three-eighths inch plates, with an alternative three-sixteenths inch fillet weld all around specified in lieu of bolts. A metal roof deck spans across the framing, while a six-inch thick concrete pad with continuous number six reinforcing bars and number five dowels at twelve inches on center forms a curb at the edge. A bent closure is provided where low deck flutes do not align with the center line of the wide flange beam web.
