Steel floor beams frame into the flanges and web of a vertical steel column, supporting a concrete slab over metal floor deck. A continuous number four mesh support bar runs parallel to the deck flutes. Shear connectors welded to the top flange of the beam provide composite action with the concrete topping. Welded connections and bolted shear tabs secure the steel framing members together.
