A reinforced concrete grade beam supports an overlying concrete slab on grade with a minimum four-inch thickness. The grade beam section measures two feet deep and is reinforced longitudinally with eighteen number seven steel bars. Transverse shear reinforcement consists of number three ties spaced at twelve inches on center. The footing depth is specifically engineered to accommodate brace frame loads.
