An L3x3x1/4 structural steel angle provides perimeter slab support around a wide flange column penetration where no beam framing exists. The support angle is welded to the wide flange beam and column assembly with a one-quarter-inch typical fillet weld. Alternate angle locations accommodate varying column geometries and deck span directions. Additional miscellaneous deck supports are provided by the contractor to maintain deck level until concrete cures.
