A structural brace connects to a column and intersecting beam via gusset plates welded to the structural members. The work point is located at the center of the column and one-half the nominal beam depth from the top flange. Gusset plates are welded to the column flange and beam underside with specified weld sizes and lengths. Stiffener plates are provided within the column web aligned with the beam flanges.
