Steel purlins and MC12x14.3 channel blocking frame into supporting steel girders, which bear upon a structural steel column topped with a quarter-inch thick steel cap plate. Three-sixteenth-inch and quarter-inch fillet welds secure the structural members and blocking at each end, with blocking omitted selectively per note for fire suppression systems or cable trays. All ends of exposed steel tubes are capped with quarter-inch thick steel plate.
