Grade beam reinforcing bars extend into the concrete pile cap and connect via a lap splice. Dowels match the grade beam reinforcing and either extend through the pile cap or terminate with a hook at the far end. Main grade beam reinforcing ties into the pile cap assembly as referenced on plan.
