An angle L3x3x5/16 by two feet zero inches long is centered between the interior stair stringer and welded to the HSS12x6 structural steel member. An HSS6x4x1/4 by one foot eight inches long structural section is located between the interior stringers for handrail attachment with cap plates at each end. Five-sixteenths-inch fillet welds secure the stair stringer to the HSS member at the top and bottom with typical welding symbols specified throughout.
