A wide-flange steel section features corner clips at the intersection of the web and flanges with a minimum one-half-inch radius. Dimensional tolerances specify an allowable variation of zero to plus one-quarter inch vertically, and minus one-quarter to zero inches horizontally. These clipping and radiusing requirements prevent crack propagation and accommodate the fillet of the structural shape.
