A concrete floor slab on metal deck transitions through a six-inch vertical step supported by a wide flange structural steel beam and a WT fill beam sized per plan. A fourteen-gauge metal Z-closure shapes the vertical face of the concrete step. Continuous number four reinforcing bars run along the top and bottom of the step, supplemented by number four vertical dowels spaced at twelve inches on center.
