A built-up jamb stud connects to a box beam header sized per plan with cold-formed steel framing. A 16-gauge 3x3 angle attaches to each contact with four number 12 sheet metal screws spaced at a minimum of one and one-half inches center-to-center with staggered screws. Five number 10 sheet metal screws fasten each face at the box beam stud flange. The track extends over the built-up jamb.
