A steel plate wraps around the steel column where cross-laminated timber panels are notched at the column intersection. Wood screws secure the plate at each corner. A dam gap is maintained between the adjacent panels. All gaps between the column, plate, and beam must be sealed to prevent water and concrete leaks that cause staining to the cross-laminated timber.
