A one-foot-long track segment is centered over the stud web punchout to provide structural reinforcement when standard punchout locations cannot be achieved. The reinforcing track matches the size and gauge of the existing stud. Four number ten self-drilling Tek screws secure the track segment symmetrically around the opening.
