Conduit is installed within the middle third of the concrete slab depth, maintaining a maximum of three conduits per group unless specific spacing is met. Individual conduits require a diameter less than or equal to one-third of the slab thickness and must maintain clear spacing of diameter D or two inches minimum. Additional number four reinforcing bars top and bottom at twelve inches on center are required where eight-inch minimum spacing between groups is not maintained. Conduits must not be placed within forty-eight inches of any column face or slab edge, and aluminum materials are strictly prohibited from being embedded in concrete. Plastic chairs are provided to support the conduit during placement.
