A steel framing connection at Level 3 incorporates an intersecting diagonal brace. The supported structural member connects using two 7/8-inch-diameter A325 bolts conforming to the Type C1 detail spacing and web requirements, alongside a 1/2-inch-thick connection plate measuring 3 inches by 1'-0". A diagonal brace framed per the typical beam brace detail ties into the assembly via 3/4-inch gusset and stiffener plates. Complete joint penetration welds and 5/16-inch fillet welds secure the plates on each side as indicated. Additional 3/4-inch plates reinforce the web and flange junctions, maintaining clearances and load paths per the structural notes.
