Small openings up to six inches to one foot feature a fourteen gauge reinforcement plate spanning alternate flutes with a one-eighth inch fillet weld all around. Medium openings up to two feet maximum are framed with L3x3x1/4 angles welded to alternate flutes or the nearest beam, accompanied by closure and edge forms as required. Large openings up to four feet maximum utilize W8x10 and W12x14 framing members supported by structural angles connected to the top flange and each side of the web with three-sixteenths inch fillet welds.
