Metal deck bears on a perimeter steel beam sized per plan with a continuous sixteen-gauge bent plate added as required. The metal deck is field cut to fit with a minimum two-inch bearing width and a minimum offset clearance of one and one-hundred-twenty-five-one-hundred-twenty-eighths inches from the beam edge. Stud shear connectors or welds are spaced at three-quarters of an inch by twelve inches. The assembly coordinates edge conditions between structural steel framing and floor or roof decking.
