A cold-formed metal stud wall top track connects to an overhead floor deck sized per plan using an additional 16-gauge continuous track placed above the wall. The wall assembly incorporates a stud track matching the stud gauge, secured beneath the continuous track. The floor deck is fastened to the top track using 0.145-inch diameter by 1-1/2-inch powder-actuated fasteners spaced at 24 inches on center. The track detail specifies a width equal to the stud width plus 1/16 inch with a 3-inch flange dimension.
