A concrete masonry unit wall connects to a concrete wall or column using drilled and epoxy-grouted dowels anchored into the concrete element. Typical horizontal reinforcement within the masonry wall extends into a splice lap meeting the dowels. A joint is provided between the masonry wall and the concrete support for non-bearing conditions or as noted on architectural drawings.
