Cedar slats per arch are secured using a one-quarter-inch by eight-and-one-half-inch by three-inch by zero-foot-four-inch bent plate. The assembly is fastened with two one-quarter-inch diameter through-bolts connecting the cedar slats to the plate, and two one-quarter-inch diameter through-bolts connecting the plate to the steel beam located beyond.
